SATURDAY … SATURDAY ..
This morning I woke up snuggled to Cherry as Mat was in Gloucester for golf. I got myself out of bed showered, ready for work & walked to the bus stop. Every week I freak out about having to open up at work, ie turning off the alarm, I mean i have been doing it on and off for the past 7 years, but I have set it off once or twice and yup don’t plan on doing that again.
Saturday reception was actually good today as I was able to scan & archive the rest of the invoices for my end of month which I am running on Monday, 30th June, which is also my birthday!
I finished work at 1pm and rushed down to spotlight to grab some material for my wedding dress. I was in line for 20 mins, gosh it gets sooooo busy down there. I got the bus home at 2pm and got changed, gave Cherry a hug then ran (walked) out the door to get the 3pm bus to Glendale. I met Erin at the movies and we saw ‘You don’t mess with the Zohan’ it was pretty hilarious!
After the movie we drove into Newcastle and got Blue Water Pizza, mmm. We ordered to share; sun dried tomato crust (like a bread), Chicken beijing and a Mombasa pizza. The crust tasted like pesto or as Erin put it ‘tea bags’ so we didn’t have much of that. The chicken was yummy although maybe a little too much herbs. The pizza was YUMMO but we were too full and didn’t eat very much.
We left and came back to my place and played some Wii sports and looked at photos on my facebook. Erin has just gone home and I am now relaxing in my PJs in front of the TV.
Mat is out listening to a band, Head Of State, I think he may be doing some recording, hope it turns out as I really like this local band.
Tomorrow is going to be a busy day, should go something like this;
Al’s for photo shoot (Al, Shannon, Coen & Mani)
My Nan’s to get my birthday present
Mat’s new office to do some painting
Pulling staples out of Krystle’s floorboards
Catch up with Alisha
Fold clothes in spare room
Lets see how I go …
Bring on the weekend ..
So it’s Thursday evening and I am looking forward to the weekend. The past 2 weeks have been very hectic at work and I am looking forward to relaxing a little.
Friday night Mat is going to Gloucester again for the night, for a 8:30am tee off Saturday morning, however Friday night I am going to farewell drinks for Krystle who is leaving work. I think we are going to the Dockyard on Honeysuckle, will be an early night for me as I am working the next day and have alot of archiving to catch up on before running end of month on Monday.
After work on Saturday I will get the bus home to get changed then get another bus to Glendale where I am meeting Erin and we are going to see the new Adam Sandler flick ‘Don’t mess with the Zohan’ or something like that. Then we are thinking of heading into Blue Water Pizza for some yummy gourmet wood fired pizzas for dinner, which I am very looking forward to.
Sunday morning Mat & I are heading over to my friend Al’s house where Mat is finishing off her maternity photos. So I will get to see her and play with her little boy, Coen.
After the shoot, Mat & I are heading into his new office/studio to do some painting. I’m also hoping to pop over to Spotlight to grab some material for my wedding dress.
That afternoon I hope to pop over to Krystle’s new place to help pull out staples from the floorboards and that evening I am catching up with Alisha for a little wine & relaxation.
Well after that, it seems I have a pretty busy schedule.
Monday Madness - or not
I was definitely not looking forward to work this morning, however this turned out to be a good thing. I thought I would hate it sooo much that it turned out to be a good day even with some silly landlord/tenant dramas.
It was a pretty busy day and the time just flew. 5pm came and I left shortly after to catch the train to Broadmeadow as we were playing basketball at 6pm. I walked the gauntlet of dark scary underbridges (well only one but I was scared so I ran) to crossing a busy main road. I arrived about 15mins early enough time to get changed and have a little warm up.
We only had 5 players tonight and we were against the other team coming first. They ending up winning by 5 points, however I got 3 goals! Not much you say, but a personal best for me!!
Bez drove me home and I had a shower while Mat heated up my dinner. I had some LnE spaghetti bolanaise and it has hit the spot!
It’s nearly 8pm and I am pretty tired so after watching some TV I think I will get my clothes ready for the gym tomorrow morning… possibly wash the dishes and then hit the sack!
Thank God it’s Friday!!
This morning I woke up from a great sleep, I was awake 10 mins early before my 7am alarm so I decided to stay in bed and snuggle with little miss Cherry Bomb, I would of snuggled with Mat but he was lying on the lounged watching ‘attack of the show’ I asked him why he is always out of bed so early in the morning, he tells me it’s because I end up sleeping on his side leaving him little to no room .. oh well.
I had some breakfast and got ready for work and caught the train to work. After my daily receipting I caught up on a couple of maintenance reports from the previous day. Not too many calls today, more chasing naughty tenants, however I was able to catch up on some other things as well.
When 5 o’clock struck I was ready to get out of the office, Kristi drove me home and I briefly caught up with Mat before he packed his bag and left for Gloucester for the night.
At around 7pm Erin & her little boy Ethan (bop) came over for dinner. Erin brought with her the ingredients for tacos. We use to cook tacos all the time, especially when I was living at my grandma’s house and they were overseas. Erin was in charge of cooking the meat and I was the salads cutter & taco shells warmer .. tonight i cooked the meat and let me say, I know its easy BUT it wasn’t the same, I really think she has a knack for it!
It was quite nice and we ate on the ground in the lounge room watching some cartoons to keep Ethan entertained.
After a chat and some play on the Wii Erin & Ethan went home. That was about 1/2 hour ago.
I am now in my PJ’s on the lounge with Cherry, browsing the web while watching Gordon Ramsay’s “Hells Kitchen” it’s a repeat series but its the finale which I missed so the outcome is still a surprise.
As I mentioned earlier Mat is in Gloucester sleeping at my parent’s place to get in early for a golf game tomorrow morning with my dad. I would have gone with him, however I am working on the reception desk tomorrow from 9am til 1pm.
After work tomorrow if Mat is back in Newcastle, I will see if he can pick me up after work and drive me to the florist (or I may wait til next week when I am not working).
… back to “Hells Kitchen” ..
Work Woes ..
Arrrrgh today I am sick of calling the plumber, and he is probably sick of me calling him … if I get anymore leaking taps, blocked box gutters, mysterious leaks possibly from a overflowing bathtub from the flat above, loose tap handles, broken HWS’… etc and so on with everything else that goes on in commercial property management I will scream - actually I think I already have.
Basically my work load has increased this past week with my manager being overseas on annual leave. I have one day and one week left to hold the fort … fingers crossed there is no storms in the mean time, although those grey clouds outside seem to be hanging around..
From Monday to Wednesday I usually get to have a nice chat/whinge at lunch with my friend Erin who works around the corner, but due to her having to take on more duties of late, between us we haven’t been able to catch up.
Hopefully Erin will be coming to visit me tomorrow night with her son, Ethan to keep me company and have a catch up while Mat is in Gloucester. I am thinking, if she is keen that I take a night off LnE and we make tacos like old times!! Play some Wii and Guitar hero and have a good ol’ girly gossip and talk about my upcoming wedding ..
At the moment I am on the lounge relaxing, I have already eaten my dinner which was some yummy spaghetti!!
I have a bit of a headache so I am thinking I may finish the last of the washing up and head to bed for an early one, I am thinking shower, PJs, and watching a DVD in bed!
